"Daylily Study", Plein Air, 7 x 5, August 2014

This was done in my garden against a background of dense, dark foliage that I found difficult to convey. Plein air paintings are so challenging to me because of the problem of what to leave in and what to leave out. Much more practice is needed. My excuse - it's so HOT.

I like everything you paint and appreciate what you are doing especially knowing how you got here,where you are painting , and doing it with among many things 3men,many dogs and a farm pulling on you. Wow!
